The story features lots of animals to meet and helps children think about concepts of kindness and bravery. The story comes with printable character cut outs which you can use for various purposes, such as making stick puppets to retell the story with.
2. 'Small 'Ugly Duckling' themed sensory play tray.' Designed to encourage children to explore different sensory materials while retelling parts of the story.
3. 'Large 'Ugly Duckling' themed sensory play tray. Another open ended activity designed to let children explore natural sensory resources and retell parts of the story on a bigger scale.
4. 'Flock of Swan Friends - Teamwork Project Part One.' Make and decorate a flock of swans. just like the ones the Ugly Duckling meets in the story. With printable resources.
5. 'Flock of Swan Friends - Teamwork project Part Two. Make a background for your swans with this fun and messy process art activity.
6. 'Swan Reflection Cutting and Sticking Craft.' Practise your scissor skills while making a picture of one of the important parts of the story. With printable resources.
7. That is Not My Duck! A simple activity for your youngest children helping them recognise a duck and talk about different colours and textures.
8. Swan and Duck Life Cycles. Learn about the life cycles of swans and ducks with this simple cutting and sticking activity.

All activities come with full instructions, including 'What I Want Children to Learn,' and 'I Can' statements' to help you plan and assess children's learning.
