Writing a prospectus is an excellent way of advertising your service to potential parents. It is also a good way of sorting out which parents are really interested in your setting and which are just casual enquiries, without having to show everyone around your setting, wasting your time. If you write it well it is also an excellent way to share information with parents about how you help children develop while they are in your setting.

Even if you do not want a prospectus, working thorough this pack is an excellent way of evaluating and thinking about what you want to accomplish in your setting so that you can talk to prospective parents and inspectors about your ethos.

This training pack supports you though the process to write a prospectus specifically tailored to you and your setting. Writing is not everyone's strength so there are guides, examples and support to help you choose exactly the right words to describe you and your setting in a way that will help you promote your brilliance and attract the right families for you.

How to write an introductory paragraph: ‘A bit about Me’.

How to write a brief snapshot describing the ethos of your setting.

Help describing your ethos in more detail so that you cover all the basics.

Describing how you help children reach the goals you have set.

Describing how you work with parents.

Describing some of the things that you do.

Adding essential Information and finishing touches.

There is also a template for you to use if you wish and a sample prospectus to give you more ideas.
