Did you know that there is a special Toilet Day? Have fun with all sorts of different days to help inspire you. From silly days like 'Talk Like a Pirate Day,' and World Pasta Day to more serious topics such as Road Safety week or Earth Day. There are also all the normal dates like Mother's Day, Easter, etc as well as special religious festival dates to help you plan diversity activities.

Swat up on the Characteristics of Effective Learning

As well as more days and celebrations to choose from this year's calendar also has a special Characteristics of Effective Learning theme with each month featuring advice and tips about a different one of the characteristics.

Revise your Safeguarding Knowledge:

The planner includes a monthly safeguarding revision question to think about with answers and links to further information at the back of the calendar.

Get Organised:

Included with the calendar is a simple Childminding Planner to help you keep on top of things without getting bogged down. There is space to plan activities and an 'Action Plan' section so that you can record any training or CPD you wish to do. (This is something that is helpful to be able to show your Ofsted Inspector if you get inspected.) 

For the really disorganised there is a box with monthly childminding tasks such as checking your smoke alarms that you can check and do.
